*yawning and half opening her eyes Sierra rolled over loath to get out of the warm bed where she could comfortably curl up against Kenny. sighing she finally set up carefull not to disturb the Virtual Adept as she slipped out of bed and got dressed. Covering a yawn the young sorcerous wandered into the kitchen and over to the Fridge snagging a glass of milk, an Orange and a peice of steak from it. as she headed back for the table she dropped the steak on a plate on a small table set out of the way smiling as a white fox came out to investigate the inviting smells*
*Small, white, full of attitude, these all described Wren...caring, loving, protective...all of these described the small fox as well. in spirit Wren had been with the girl since the day she was born...all that had changed was the body that housed the spirit. a simpler explanation for this...Wren was the spirit of her grandmother...the person who made Sierra who and what she was.*
*chuckling as she watched him sierra dropped into a chair peeling her breakfast and greeting her mind mate in the way that only he could hear "good morning fur face, hope the sun finds you happy and well." The fox paused his eating to look at her out of the corner of his eye measuringly. the normaly upbeat attitude was replaced today by a somber quiet one. this was no suprised to her for she knew why this was...Today was the day the world ended. measuring his words carefully the fox replied to her "i am well child"*
*swallowing the last peice of the orange Sierra smiled a bit "good...cause i am not sure if i am or not." cocking his head the fox padded over to her "what is wrong.?" shaking her head a bit she replied "not sure...just...dunno if i am ready to give all of this up...give him up..." pausing she glances towards the bedroom with teh sleeping mage "i mean...i just found him and now the world is ending...this isn't fair in the least..."*
*shaking his head the fox yipped slightly "life cannot always be fair...perhaps your souls shall meet again in the next age...for now though...it is time for the end to come. change must happen or else destruction will reign..." grumbling Sierra looked down at Wren "damn you...why do you always have to make so much sense." at this she smiled a bit to take the sting out of her words and glanced back towards the bedroom again "i don't even know if we are going to the same place...i am not like them...not like the sleepers either...what happens to me and others like me...do we just cease to exist?"*
*sighing softly Wren padded over resting his head on the girl's knee "i wish i could tell you the answers to the questions you ask dove...but i can not...not even i know what will happen then." at this Sierra smiled slightly "i know Gramma...just grumping is all...i guess i should get Kenny up so we can get busy"*
*the rest of the day went by in a blur...taking care of last minute issues then Kenny taking them to where they were to go. As Sierra wandered into the cave and the familiar tingle of magic around her settled in the young girl knew something was amiss...that something significant in her life would happen today for good or bad. shaking her head she shrugged this off and settle in a chair beside Kenny with the Crystal orb she had picked up the night before and held onto*
*smirking as the mages went around being busy little beavers sierra relaxed peeling and eating a few oranges idly bored out of her mind...then finally the time for action came...a door...a Key...a trip down memory lane for many mages and a look into the world she despised so much for Sierra. finally it had ended and they were in a large room standing infront of 9 Daemons...the number of globes held by the members of the Magi and Sierra*
*almost instantly the two sides met in a battle to the death...the mages were holding their own...barely and for who knows how long...each bit used to hold their own one second shortened their ability to keep up in the long run. this battle was not going to be won by brute force alone. glancing around it hit her...the resonance...creatures of pure evil cannot stand that of good intent...if she...yes...that would do it! glancing over to Kenny as she murmered the incantation to begin the spell she quietly mouthed the words "i love you" before letting the full power of her magic hit*
*the effect was instantaneous...like a wave the Holy resonance washed out bathing the area in its light...the once powerfull Daemons snarled in rage as their power was stripped away...the tide turned to a battle the mages could win and not take heavy casualties...she had done it. Sierra had never had any love for mages...save for a very few she saw them as a plague upon the earth that was there to sew chaos and distruction...they looked down on those not like them and pitied those who practiced the "lower" magics. Her greatest wish had been to prove to them that a sorcerer is every bit as capable as they were...maybe more so as they were not held back by the iron reins of reality. Tonight...she had proven this...shown them that a lone sorcerer could rivel them and was just as usefull...she had given them the great fuck you and gotten the last laugh*
*her thoughts lasted for a brief moment then suddenly she was jerked from where she was...ripped through space...her mind barely had a moment to comprehend the sheer pain as she was teleported into the mouth of the Daemon and its teeth ripped into her skin. the last second before things went black seemed to streatch on for eternity...her mind raced through the fun she had with her friends...spending time with her family...and finally...to the first time she met Kenny and how he had made her life complete. murmering a quiet i'm sorry for leaving you the pain finally swept Sierra away into the comforting blackness...then out of her body into an end of the old ways and begining of the new...*
